Anna Willinger, the eldest member of the Hungarian Jewish community, died last week at the age of 101. She was active until recent years in caring for the Jewish senior citizens home here and helped operate the Jewish community’s canteen. She was also active in other facets of Jewish communal life. Dozens of members of the community, including the Chief Rabbi of Budapest, attended her funeral last Friday. Most of those who eulogized Mrs. Willinger stressed that her death marked the end of an epoch in the history of Hungarian Jewry.
