An Israeli bakery unveiled a half-ton hamantash. Angel’s Bakery in Jerusalem, with the help of the Soldiers Welfare Association, prepared the traditional poppy-seed pastry Monday in honor of Purim. Organizers of the event said the 1,012-pound hamantash, which later was broken up to be eaten by Israeli army conscripts, was an achievement worthy of the Guinness Book of World Records.
