The Ampal, American-Palestine Trading Corporation, of which Albert K. Epstein of Chicago is president, today announced that it has purchased $150,000 worth of notes issued by the Jewish National Fund in an effort to raise a $2,500,000 lean in America for Jewish land acquisition in Palestine. The first bond subscribed by the Ampal was issued to Dr. Chaim Weizmann, president of the World Zionist Organization.
