Mrs. Golda Meir, Israel’s Foreign Minister, was presented this weekend with the American Jewish Congress’ Stephen S. Wise Award in recognition of “the dignity and moral courage with which she interpreted Israel’s position before the United Nations and the conscience of the world.” The presentation was made by Dr. Israel Goldstein, president of the American Jewish Congress, who is presently visiting Israel.
