A 170, 000-pound school building was dedicated today at the Kfar Silver Agricultural training center near Ashkelon. The ZOA and the United States Government contributed equally to the cost of the building. Kfar Silver is the only school in Israel chartered by the New York Board of Regents.
Participating in the dedication ceremonies were William Baxter, American Charge d’Affaires, Dr. Emanuel Neumann, president of the World General Zionist Confederation, who stressed the importance of training Israel youth for farming in middle and southern Israel, and Abraham Redelheim, president of the Zionist Organization of America.
