A U.S. congressman criticized remarks by two ranking members of the Israeli Knesset that they were opposed to the Oslo peace process. The reaction by Rep. Barney Frank (D-Mass.) to the remarks of the Likud’s Uzi Landau and the National Religious Party’s Shaul Yahalom came after an international conference of Jewish legislators met with the Knesset’s Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee.
