A resolution vehemently denouncing the suppression and oppression by the Hilter regime of Jews, labor, intellectuals, and religion was passed here at a mass meeting in the Jewish Community Center. A copy of the resolution was forwarded to German Ambassador Hans Luther in Washington.
Speakers at the meeting included Mayor Chauncey C. Thayer, the Rev. Leon B. Randall of the Fremont Street Methodist Church, who acted as chairman, the Rev. Raymond Ketchledge of the First Presbyterian Church of Johnstown, Frank McMaster, Rabbi Myron W. Jacobs of the Jewish Community Center, Saul Lambert of New York, Marie Halberstadt, a refugee from Germany, and Clarence Carr, president of the Independent Leather Workers of Fulton County.
