A member of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s Cabinet and the Palestinian official in charge of Jerusalem held secret talks over the past year on the future of the city, an Israeli newspaper reported Wednesday. Deputy Prime Minister Michael Eitan confirmed to the daily Ha’aretz that the meetings with Faisal Husseini took place, but declined to provide any further details. According to the paper, the two reached agreement on a number of issues.
