A Kuwaiti newspaper op-ed criticized the attack on a Jerusalem yeshiva.

“The attack at the yeshiva was a barbaric murder of eight children who were engaged in religious study,” an op-ed in the daily Al-Watan said, the Jerusalem Post reported Tuesday. “This odious and inhuman terror attack exemplifies the extremist and inhuman path of the terror organizations Hamas and Hezbollah.”

The op-ed also said “there is no link between a murderous terrorist act and the inadvertent killing of civilians in response to the firing of rockets by Hamas,” referring to Israel’s recent incursion in Gaza.

In general, the Arab press has lauded the 25-year-old east Jerusalem Palestinian gunman as a hero.
