A former head of the Mossad was among several former military officers named as top political advisers by Prime Minister-elect Ehud Barak. In addition to reserve Gen. Danny Yatom will take on a newly created post coordinating all political and security activities in the Prime Minister’s Office. Some members of Barak’s Labor Party were quoted in the Israeli daily Ha’aretz as criticizing the former army chief of staff for surrounding himself with former military officers.
