A ceremony to mark the ground-breaking of Estonia’s first new synagogue in almost a century will be held later this month. The Sept. 19 ceremony will be held in the country’s capital of Tallinn. The presidents of Estonia and Israel, Arnold Ruytel and Moshe Katsav, are expected to attend the ceremony for the synagogue, which also will serve as a Jewish community center.
