Six persons were arraigned today in the Municipal Court for participating in the riot Sunday afternoon which was caused by an address delivered in defense of the Hitler government by a German pedagogue.

The rioting, in which it is estimated 5,000 persons engaged, ended in a clash between the police and the mob. A number of persons were injured.

Professor Friedrich Schoenemann, of the University of Berlin, who spoke on “Why I Believe in the Hitler government”, was the object of the protest. In his address the speaker declared that anti-Jewish persecutions are the “natural” result of the revolution, and he lauded Hitler as the unifier of the German people.
