Six aged Jews, arrested here early Sunday during traditional penitential services at a local synagogue, were released today.
The old men, known as pious and strictly orthodox Jews, were arrested on suspicion that they were Communists, following information by an unidentified person. A thorough investigation convinced the police that the accusation was entirely false.
The incident has aroused considerable resentment in Jewish circles here.
