Five-hundred and thirty-two synagogues were destroyed by the Germans in Russia, according to a report by the State Commission to In(##)estigate German Crimes made public here today.
The report also reveals facts concerning the despoliation and murder of Russian Jews. It cites the following case as typical of the Nazi mistreatment of Jews:
In the city of Kislovodsk, in the Caucasas, the Gestapo chief and the military ammendant ordered Jews to surrender all gold and silver rings, cigarette cases, watches, silver spoons, carpets, shoes and clothing. When everything of value had been obtained, all the Jews in the city were shot.
