Five thousand and ninety six Roumanian Jews left the country in 1926 and the first 6 months of 1927, an official report here states.
During 1926 the total emigration from Roumania amounted to 17,671, of whom 3.698 were Jews. One thousand and eighteen of this number went to Palestine. Of the 4.927 persons who left the country during the early part of 1927, 1,398 were Jews.
