2½ million dollars are to be raised in America during 1932 for the continuation of the Palestine reconstruction work, it was decided to-day at the National Conference on Palestine held at the Astor Hotel here, under the chairmanship of Mr. Morris Rothenberg, with the participation of Dr. Cyrus Adler, President of the American Jewish Committee and Chairman of the Administrative Committee of the Jewish Agency, Mr. Felix M. Warburg, and other prominent American non-Zionists who are affiliated with the Jewish Agency.

The Jewish National Fund, the Keren Hayesod, and the Hadassah Organisation will merge their own fund campaigns in this joint Pro-Palestine campaign, which will again be conducted under Mr. Rothenberg’s chairmanship.

600 delegates, Zionists and non-Zionists, from all parts of the United States attended the Conference, at which Mr. Nahum Sokolov, the President of the Zionist World Organisation and the Jewish Agency, delivered the principal address.

President Hoover sent a telegram of greetings to the Conference, expressing his interest in the Jewish development activities in Palestine.
