A total of 728 Jewish immigrants entered Canada during the third quarter of this year bringing to 1,581 the total number of Jewish immigrants during the first nine months of 1963, according to figures released here today by the Statistics Section of the Department of Citizenship and Immigration.
The nine-month figure for this year represents a 12 per cent increase over the first nine months of 1962. Total immigration into Canada was 27,900 for the third quarter and 69,344 for the nine-month period.
