The Theatre Union will present “The Pit,” by Albert Maltz, at the Civic Repertory Theatre about the middle of March, and will close its present play, “Sailors of Cattaro,” on March 2 to make room for the new offering.

“The Pit” deals with coal miners in West Virginia. The play will go into production immediately.

Holiday matinees of the “Sailors of Cattaro” on Lincoln’s and Washington’s birthday, with reduced prices for orchestra seats, are scheduled by the Theatre Union.
