At Limburg, the local prosecutor announced today that the trial of Dr. Werner Heyde, charged with having been a “euthanasia” physician who carried out the killing of victims under the Hitler regime, will not start until late next summer. Preliminary investigations into the Heyde case, the prosecutor said, have thus far resulted in the compilation of 26 volumes of evidence and 50 “additional” files. However, the probes are still continuing, with the questioning of other physicians and former jurists who had served during the Nazi regime.
