There are at present 115,000 pupils studying at the Jewish schools in the Union of Soviet Republics, it was reported to the All-Russian conference of Jewish teachers which has just been concluded here. Representatives were present from Russia, Ukraine, White Russia, Crimea and the Tartar Republic. According to the reports submitted, the network of Jewish schools in the Soviet Union is growing. At present Russia has 110 schools with 15,000 pupils; the Ukraine 470 schools with 75,000 pupils, and White Russia 170 schools with 25,000 pupils.
