(Jewish Telegraphic Agency)

Two events of great importance in the life of the colony have just taken place. One hundred thousand grapevines have been planted by the local branch of the B’nai Benjamin, an organization of the sons of the first Jewish colonists in Palestine.

Four new filters have been sunk in the already existing water spring and an abundant additional water supply has thus been obtained. The community will now be able to increase its vegetable production. Both these events were made possible through the moral and financial support of Mrs. Mary Fels, president of the Fels Foundation, who has done much for the development of the old colonies in Palestine.
