Ten Jewish physicians, all of them officers, were arrested in a Polish army camp in Britain for protesting against discrimination on the part of some officers, the Jewish Chronicle reported today.
The Jews were detained by Polish military police after making a collective protest. The nature of the protest was not disclosed, but it was believed the Jews objected to dis-crimination on the part of some officers who refused to assign them to proper posts. According to an unverified version, the commander had given doctors’ posts only to non-Jews.
