JERUSALEM (JTA) — A West Bank Palestinian was overpowered as he attempted to stab an Israeli soldier at a checkpoint into Israel.
The Palestinian from Tulkarem on Monday pulled out a knife at the Nitzanei Oz crossing near Netanya in central Israel, the IDF spokesman said.
The attacker was detained for further questioning.
There were no injuries in the foiled attack.
On Sunday, two Palestinians brandishing knives were caught by Israeli troops near the West Bank settlement of Adam, north of Jerusalem.
