JERUSALEM (JTA) — The Intel Corp. will invest $5 billion to $6 billion in its southern Israel factory.

The company is filing an investment plan for the Kiryat Gat work with Israel’s Ministry of the Economy, the Israeli business daily Globes reported, citing company sources. Intel could receive a grant for about 5 percent of the job — some $300,000 million, according to Globes.

Intel, which has been operating in Israel for 40 years, has four development centers and two production plants in the country.

The company will make an official announcement in the coming weeks, according to reports.
