(JTA) — The mother of Amy Winehouse criticized the late singer’s ex-husband for disrespecting Judaism at the Jewish cemetery where Winehouse is buried.

Blake Fielder-Civil, making his first visit to the grave since Winehouse died nearly three years ago, was not wearing a head covering when he gave an interview at Winehouse’s grave in the Edgwarebury Lane Cemetery in north London.

“To film beside a grave shows total disrespect. I want nothing to do with this,” said Janis Winehouse, according to the London Jewish Chronicle, which was citing the Daily Mirror. “He is entitled to visit the grave, he disrespects our religion by not covering his head, and as for an interview in a sacred place, that disgusts me.”

Winehouse, who was Jewish, died in July 2011 in her London home.

The coroner’s report said that Winehouse, 27, died with five times the legal British drunk driving limit in her bloodstream. The official cause of death was from “alcohol toxicity.”

“I feel responsible for her death,” Fielder-Civil said in the graveside interview, according to the Daily Mirror. “There’s lots of reasons why it’s taken me so long to visit. I was scared to come. Maybe she would not have done as many drugs over the years if she had not met me.”
