(JTA) — For a second time this week, Israeli jets struck targets in Gaza in response to rockets fired into Israel.
Israeli Air Force bombers struck two targets Thursday night at around midnight, according to Army Radio. One strike was on an outpost belonging to Hamas’ military wing, the report said.
Quoting Palestinians sources, the radio station reported that two men were injured in the attack. A second target was a weapons factory and storage site, Army Radio reported.
“The Hamas terrorist organization is the address and bears responsibility,” an IDF spokesperson said in a statement.
Earlier in the day, a Kassam rocket fired from Gaza landed near Ashkelon in southern Israel, causing no injuries.
The rocket attack comes after several terrorist attacks in Israel, including a bus bombing and another rocket fired from Gaza that landed near a school bus stop.
Israel responded to the earlier rocket attack on Sunday night, hitting what it said were several terrorist targets, including a weapons manufacturing building and training grounds.
