NEW YORK (JTA) — The Jewish National Fund completed its largest campaign ever, raising $121 million in fiscal year 2013, the organization said.

The campaign was supplemented by a $60 million gift from the estate of John Boruchin, the largest single donation in JNF’s 112-year history, the organization said Wednesday.

JNF plans to use its new funding to establish educational programs to “connect children to Zionism and make Israel strong,” according to CEO Russell Robinson.

In the past year, JNF has engaged in several projects in Israel, primarily in the Beersheva area, including the Beersheva River Walk, a 900-acre public park project.

JNF is appointing a committee of lay leaders, under the oversight of its leadership, to structure the trust’s use and monitor its investments.
