No matter what goes down tonight at Citi Field, the banter in the announcers’ booth will likely give Mets fans something to smile about. That’s because Jerry Seinfeld is calling the game against the San Francisco Giants for SNY, the Mets’ official TV home.
Working alongside the comedian/known-Mets-enthusiast will be former Mets Keith Hernandez (a former “Seinfeld” guest star), Ron Darling and Bobby Ojeda, and sportscaster Gary Cohen, the New York Daily News reports.
This isn’t the first foray into sportscasting for Seinfeld, who offered analysis of a Mets game on SNY in 2010. Hopefully he’ll stick around for longer than seven innings this time. And hopefully nobody will get spit on.
