JERUSALEM (JTA) — More than 3,000 people marched in Jerusalem’s Gay pride parade under the slogan “We want change.”
The gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people and their supporters marched Thursday through the streets of Jerusalem guarded by hundreds of police and border guards.
Three protesters were arrested by police, including a haredi Orthodox man who threw a stink bomb at the marchers, and two haredi women who dressed up in a donkey and a monkey suit.
The march concluded at the Wohl Rose Garden across from the Knesset.
