So apparently a crazy man dressed as Elmo, the beloved “Sesame Street character,” is walking around the streets of New York and unleashing anti-Semitic rants.
Giant Elmos are actually pretty common in New York City, in search of opportunities to pose with tourists for pictures in exchange of a few dollars (also available: giant Cookie Monster, SpongeBob, Buzz Lightyear and more). But this Elmo apparently wasn’t making enough money, so he decided to blame “the Jewish cops” for his poor fuzzy monster etiquette.
On Sunday, according to TheSmokingGun.com, Anti-Semitic Elmo was removed from Central Park Zoo after sharing his thoughts about Jewish conspiracies. Last week he was removed from Bryant Park by the NYPD — after complaining about his perceived personal nemesis, the Anti-Defamation League’s Abe Foxman and .
Is this funny? Not sure. But I wonder what’s going to happen if someone tries to tickle him in jail.
