There is a sign of life from Gilad Shalit.
Taken captive by Palestinians in June 2006 along Israel’s border with Gaza, the captive Israeli soldier appears in a video apparently filmed on Sept. 14, 2009. He looks healthy and uninjured.
In the video, which is in Hebrew, Shalit reads a statement that says he’s been treated well by the mujahadeen of the Kassam Brigades, expresses the hope that Benjamin Netanyahu’s government will secure his release soon and addresses his family directly.
