Fiesta Shalom

With all the bad news abounding for communal institutions, the L.A. Jewish Journal reports that at least something is going right in the Jewish world: Jewish-Latino ties.

In a special section titled Fiesta Shalom, the paper is running an essay on the old Latino-Jewish enclave of Boyle Heights, a declaration of friendship jointly authored by the mayor and the local Israeli consul general, and a piece about political cooperation between both groups.

Underscoring the cooperative spirit, all three pieces are printed in English and Spanish.
