The United Jewish Communities has announced the Vice President Joe Biden will be representing the Obama administration at next month’s General Assembly.
Sources confirm that Vice President Joe Biden will be representing the Obama administration at next month’s United Jewish Communities’ General Assembly. Word first came in an e-mail blast from the Jewish Federation of Greater Washington, which is hosting the event, but has not yet been announced by UJC.
The event is scheduled for November 8-10 in the nation’s capital.
Back in July, we took a look at whether any of the Jewish organizations holding fall conferences in the United States (UJC, J Street and National Jewish Democratic Council) would land President Obama as a speaker. The speculation at the time was that UJC would be the politically safest option, but that Obama could choose not make an appearance at any of the organizations’ events. Both NJDC and J Street have not yet announced a speaker representing the administration.
