"The talk J Street doesn’t want me to give." That’s what Jennifer Laszlo Mizrahi of The Israel Project is calling her presentation Monday afternoon to the Christians United for Israel conference in Washington.
Mizrahi joined David Makovsky of the Washington Institute for Near East Policy and Cliff May of the Foundation for the Defense of Democracies at the conference for a panel entitled "Committed to Israel’s Destruction: Iran, Hezbollah and Hamas." J Street blasted the TIP founder and president earlier ths month for speaking to CUFI, after Mizrahi criticized J Street for attacking other Jewish organizations — after J Street started the whole brouhaha by ripping Mizrahi’s use of the term "ethnic cleansing" when talking about settlement removal.
The slides to her Power Point presentation basically outlines the many dangers of Hamas, from its hate-filled children’s programming to its Qassam rocket fire, and states as the bottom line that "we need to get Hamas to end the terror and culture of hate" while also needing "to support moderate Palestinians — while holding them accountable." She also urged the crowd, which will hit Capitol HIll Wednesday, to "remind Congress that in addition to Hamas, the ‘moderate’ Abbas is refusing to negotiate, but Israel wants peace" and concludes with "the biggest obstacle to peace is Iran and its proxies in Hamas and Hezbollah."
The fact that I am speaking at a CUFI event doesn’t mean that I endorse every thought all their leaders ever had, or that I expect them to endorse everything we have said or ever done," said Mizrahi. "I do, however, appreciate that 3,000 Americans have come to Washington to stand with Israel!"
