The National Jewish Democratic Council is honoring Ann Lewis, and bringing out one of the biggest names in the party to help.

Former president Bill Clinton will be honorary event chair and special guest Tuesday, June 16 as the NJDC gives its Belle Moskowitz Award to Lewis, a former top aide in the Clinton White House and more recently a top aide on Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign at a reception at Washington, D.C.’s National Museum of Women in the Arts.

It is the inaugural presentation of the Belle Moskowitz Award, named after the close political advisor to New York Governor and 1928 presidential candidate Al Smith. NJDC said it will honor each year an individual in the tradition of Moskowitz, who "left us an example of wise political influence for progressive causes."
