JERUSALEM (JTA) — The Israeli army finished evacuating the Oz Zion outpost in the West Bank, a day after soldiers came under attack by visiting teens.
The evacuation was completed late Saturday night following the departure of 200 male high school students who had come to the outpost to spend Shabbat, according to The Jerusalem Post.
Israeli soldiers who had attempted to evacuate the outpost on Friday evening retreated after coming under attack by rocks thrown by the teens. Five Border Police Officers were lightly wounded in the clash.
Several buildings on the site were demolished Saturday night. It was not the first time this year that the outpost was evacuated.
Some 25 families live on Oz Zion, according to Haaretz.
