JERUSALEM (JTA) — Israeli spy satellites reportedly detected a ship docked at an Iranian port being loaded with missiles likely bound for Gaza.
The ship was being loaded with rockets and other munitions approximately a week ago, according to the Sunday Times British newspaper. Among the missiles believed to be loaded onto the cargo ship were Fajr-5 rockets, which were fired at Tel Aviv and Jerusalem during the recent Gaza operation, and the long-range Shahab-3 ballistic missiles.
According to reports, the ship would reach Gaza via the Red Sea, Sudan and Egypt.
The ship was being loaded as cease-fire talks between Hamas in Gaza and Israel were underway.
