JERUSALEM (JTA) — Israeli troops and Air Force aircraft fired on Palestinian terrorists planting explosives near the security fence in northern Gaza.
Three Palestinians were killed in Thursday morning’s attack, according to Palestinian media.
The three belonged to a small Islamist terror group known as Homat al-Aqsa, village residents told Reuters. Three civilians from a nearby agricultural college also were struck, according to the Palestinian Maan news service.
The attack came a day after Israeli aircraft struck a group of terrorists that the Israeli military said was in the final stages of launching a rocket attack on southern Israel and had been involved in previous rocket attacks on Israel.
