JERUSALEM (JTA) — Israeli entrepreneur Yosef Abramowitz will be featured as an environmental pioneer on the CNN series "Going Green."
Abramowitz, 48, is a founder of the Arava Power Company at Kibbutz Ketura, which is home to a 4.95-megawatt, medium-sized photovoltaic field. He made aliyah from the Boston area in 2006; Abramowitz had volunteered on the kibbutz 30 years earlier.
Other environmental pioneers being recognized on the CNN series include David Stubbs, head of sustainability for the London 2012 Olympics; Princess Sayyida Tania Al Said, president of the Environment Society of Oman; and Erin Schrode, founder of U.S.-based organization Turning Green.
