NEW YORK (6NoBacon) — Drake released his newest music video this week, titled “HYFR” (Hell Yeah F***ing Right). It features a lot of swearing, dancing women in minimal clothing and fellow rapper Lil’ Wayne.
What makes this video different from all other music videos?
Well, for one thing, the entire video is set in a synagogue, where Drake gets re-bar mitzvah’d. The provocative clip opens with actual footage of young Drake (then Aubrey Graham) saying “Mazel tov” to the camera and dancing at a bar mitzvah. He is also seen reading from the Torah (and later destroying a Torah-like cake). With all the cursing and scantily clad women, this is one bar mitzvah to which you wouldn’t want to invite your grandfather.
Is Andy Samberg leaving SNL?
For our readers who happen to watch “Saturday Night Live” solely for the goofy digital shorts of Jewish comedian Andy Samberg, we may have bad news. Us Weekly reports that Samberg and fellow SNL cast members Kristen Wiig and Jason Sudeikis are set to leave the NBC sketch show by the end of the season.
Samberg joined SNL as writer and cast member, and came to fame with digital shorts such as “Lazy Sunday” and “I’m on a Boat.” Last Saturday, he dressed up as Mayim Bialik — or, as he called her, the “Jewish Strawberry Shortcake” — in a spoof of her recent Old Navy ad.
Melissa Gilbert gets a concussion while Dancing with the Stars
On the Monday night episode of ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars,” Melissa Gilbert, better known as Laura Ingalls Wilder of the 1970s show “Little House on the Prairie,” injured her head while performing a paso doble dancing routine with her partner Maksim Chmerkovsky. Gilbert, whose head injury was filmed live, suffered from a mild concussion and is still competing in the 14th season of the popular dancing show.
