JERUSALEM (JTA) — A Jewish Jerusalem man was attacked in a car at the Mount of Olives cemetery, where he went to visit his mother’s grave before his wedding.
Arab teenagers leaving their eastern Jerusalem school threw rocks at the car in which the man was riding on Wednesday after surrounding the vehicle, Ynet reported. The car was being driven by the man’s best friend and had other inhabitants.
One of the car’s windows was broken by the rocks and the prospective groom was hit in the head with a rock. He was treated at Shaare Zedek Medical Center and released. His wedding reportedly was held as scheduled.
Police confirmed to Ynet that the attack took place.
