(JTA) — Gaza Strip terrorists launched rockets into Israel.
There were at least two barrages of Kassam rockets before dawn last Friday, Israeli media reported, and the firing of a longer-range Grad missile. No injuries or damage were reported.
Kassams have a range of about 10 kilometers, or 6 miles, and have reached Israeli towns such as Sderot. Grads have a longer range of up to 25 kilometers, or 15 miles.
The launchings follow a number of Israeli raids targeting terrorists affiliated with al-Qaida, who themselves are at war with Gaza’s Hamas rulers.
The al-Qaida affiliates had warned of retaliatory attacks against Israel.
