JERUSALEM (JTA) — Israel’s Air Force hit a squad of Gaza Palestinians that Israel’s military said was preparing to launch rockets from northern Gaza into Israel.
At least one Palestinian reportedly was killed and two injured in the early Sunday morning airstrike. The dead Palestinian has been identified as a member of the terrorist Islamic Jihad organization, Reuters reported.
More than 165 rockets and mortars have been fired at Israeli territory since the beginning of this year, the Israeli military said in a statement.
