JERUSALEM (JTA) — Israel’s Air Force struck a weapons storage facility and two terror tunnels in Gaza.

The strike overnight Friday was in response to eight mortar shells and one Kassam rocket fired on southern Israel from Gaza the previous day, according to the Israeli military.

The tunnels hit by the Air Force were intended for infiltrating into Israel and launching terror attacks against Israeli soldiers and civilians, according to the IDF.

Palestinian medical sources reported that two Palestinians were killed in the attack on the tunnels.

More than 90 rockets and mortars have been fired at Israel since the beginning of 2010, according to the IDF.
