The attack late Tuesday night was in response to a Kassam rocket fired at Israel earlier in the day, according to a statement from the Israel Defense Forces. That rocket landed near Ashkelon in a populated area. No injuries were reported.
Israel also struck a weapons storage facility on Monday night in response to a Kassam attack earlier that day.
Eleven rockets have been fired from Gaza at Israel in the last week; one resulted in the death of a foreign worker from Thailand.
