(JTA) — The editor of an anti-Semitic newspaper was sentenced to a prison colony after being convicted of inciting ethnic and religious hatred.
Konstantin Dushenov, editor of Russ Pravoslavnaya (Orthodox Russia), was sentenced to three years in a prison colony and was forbidden from publishing for three years, according to a report by the Regnum news agency, UCSJ: Union of Councils for Jews in the Former Soviet Union reported.
Two other newspaper staff members received suspended sentences on the same charge.
The men had distributed throughout the country an anti-Semitic film called "Russia With a Knife in the Back," which is on the federal list of banned extremist materials.
