(JTA) — Israel arrested five Palestinian Authority intelligence officers in the West Bank.
The arrests in Salfit, according to Ynet, are believed to be related to an investigation by the Palestinian General Intelligence Service into a man suspected of collaborating with Israel. All five of the detained are officers in the service.
According to the Palestinians, talks between the Palestinian Authority and Israel already are under way to secure their release.
