(JTA) — No injuries were reported after a Kassam rocket was fired from Gaza into Shaar Hanegev, in southern Israel.
The firing Friday came after rockets were fired from Gaza into Israel on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Israeli media speculated that the rocket attacks appear to represent an escalation in attacks after a few months of relative calm. The Israel Air Force attacked a weapons smuggling tunnel in the southern Gaza Strip on Wednesday, and on Tuesday destroyed a rocket launcher in the northern Gaza Strip.
