JERUSALEM (JTA) — About 8,000 Christian pilgrims are visiting Israel for the Feast of Tabernacles.
The weeklong festival in Jerusalem, which begins Friday, coincides with Sukkot.
Titled “The Tabernacle of David” this year, the festival is sponsored by the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem with assistance from the Israeli Ministry of Tourism, according to the ministry. The program includes seminars and teaching, as well as the traditional Jerusalem March.
Participants are coming from hundreds of communities in tens of countries, including Australia, Bolivia, Canada, Chile, Austria, India, Italy, Nigeria, Brazil, Finland and Norway.
