KIEV, Ukraine (JTA) — Israel’s ambassador to Ukraine met with Ukraine’s deputy foreign minister and discussed possible visits by Israeli leaders.

Zina Kaly-Kleitman met Thursday with Alexander Kupchyshyn, the deputy foreign minister. The diplomats discussed the possibility of visits by Shimon Peres, Israel’s president, and Avigdor Lieberman, the foreign minister.

They also discussed efforts to arrive at an agreement that would allow for travel between the two nations without prior arrangement of a visa.

Separately, Kiev this week police seized and destroyed an SS uniform that was on sale in the city’s market and arrested the seller after receiving a complaint from a Jewish group.
